I was sick this past week, and I kept training on my regular days w/ my same routine. Is this what I should be doing, or is it actually better not to train when you are sick?
I just had a cold this time, but what if some has strep throat for instance, should they keep training?

Best not to train. It most likely will prolong(sp) your sickness.

Well, I dont know bout you, but I cant train at 100% when I'm sick. I'm out of it, & I dont really feel like lifting. I barely lift on the days I'm sick. Plus, every time I train when I'm sic, I seem to stay sick longer.
The way I look at it, it's better to totally miss 2 days than to perform 4 days at 50%.
Just my opinion though - aint no tellin what the correct answer would be ;)
I'm with Syntekz, I can't see it doing you any good.

Ditto. No training when sick. I have learned the hard way.

I was able to give my workouts 100%, I figured however my body may be fighting my cold, and it might not be able to repair damaged muscle after my workouts.
No training even with a runny nose, sore throat etc?
If its just a little cough or something lilke that i train but anything serious i dont. I couldn't train today cause my stomach was in pain all day.

Definitely do not train if you have strep throat! tuttut
If not for the fact that you will delay your recovery by churning out immuno-suppressive corticosteroids (like cortisol), Strep is pretty contagious and you might transmit it to your gym mates by coughing and contact with different pieces of equipment and weights.

I workout at home, so that wouldn't be a problem in my case.

Don't workout, IMO the energy you used in the workout could be used to fight your sickness

Its ok to train as long as the illness is above the neck Ex: cold. Unless you have an infection above the neck (sinus), then rest. Cough goes below the neck, rest for that.

When you are sick...
rest, drink plenty of fluids, watch crappy daytime TV, but...
DON'T LIFT!
