I'm trying to lose about 40 pounds, while gaining some muscle. I think I've got my diet down for cutting, and was wondering if it'd be effective take these supplements with my diet:
ETS (I did squats yesterday and can't walk today...I'm hoping this will help)
Nitrean
creatine monohydrate
4 grams of fish oil (pills)
caffeine pills (pre-workout)
Now that i've listed it all, it seems like a little much. Will this stuff work well together or is it too much?

Post your diet.

I think that looks like a very nice stack. I hope you combine it with a hypo-caloric diet and proper training. If so, you will see some nice results. my planned diet is about:
2300 calories
200 protien
100 fat
125 carbs
Most of this comes from chicken, turkey, ham, eggs, and whole grain bread
I'm 5'10", 215 lbs. I'm doing the WBB 1.1 workout schedule. I hate cardio, but I'm gonna try to force myself to do it 2-3 times a week.

You don't have to do cardio if you have your diet in check.

A little bit of the right kind of cardio CAN help though - cmack, have a peek at How to do Cardio if you MUST - link's in my sig.
Not sure what maintenance is for you but at a glance, your diet looks adequate.

It keeps up your conditioning, and builds mitochondrial and capillary density, to clear metabolites from lifting... plus creates a slight caloric deficit, but not as much as diet manipulation. :D
I really have to put that link in my sig, or book mark it or something.

I've read through some of your articles Built. I'm going to try to jog/bike 2 days, and attempt HIIT training once a week.
But I'm gonna have to wait until I can walk again....I hadn't worked out legs for 4 years until yesterday and it's kicking my ass....literally.
Thanks for the input.

Sadly, I've had to accept the addition of a little bit of this type of activity into my routine.
The good news is that my endurance base came up fast as STINK with this - a few months with these little 20-minute bursts of the right kinds of cardio, then I hike up a mountain for an hour and a half - no problem. I was amazed.

Yeah, I'm in the worst shape of my life right now. I've let myself explode over the past 2 years.
I'm hoping I can regain my endurance quickly too. I'm actually kind of looking forward to trying HIIT. Hopefully I'll soon be hiking up mountains easily too (possibly McKinley in 2 years if training goes well).
