Us more serious trainees always laugh at the guys with huge upperbodys and non existant legs.
But what would you say of someone who is the opposite?
Im seeing myself lookin better and better as Im losing weight pretty slowly but surely.
However my legs are still ballooning and now sit at a happy 28"... my arms are 15' and I think once I lose alot of fat my upperbody is gonna look pretty small compartvely to.
I personally love the look of legs that are just way too big for a body, Im surrounded by it in this gym.
Any thoughts?

15' arms are huge bro. That's about 6.5x more than your legs.

Mine are sitting on 30" fuzz, and my chest is like 42!
i laugh at the guys who don't work legs. you're doing just fine, bro.

If your arms are 15 feet around that is freakish, and I'd definitely call you a light bulb.
That said, there's nothing wrong with having huge, muscular legs. I have the same "problem" (28.5" legs with 16.5" arms).

what do you guys consider a "balanced" look? I know it's visual, but is there a ratio or an approximation of how large your legs should be compared to chest, arms, etc? I have heard the one about your calves should be about the same around as your biceps, any other rules of thumb?

i never knew the term light bulb today, but that is hilarious, great stuff.
I was just laughing at them, because I could never understand why someone would commit so much time to the gym, and not pay attention to their total body
then again i saw a guy, teaching his friend how to do squat yesterday, and he went down maybe 15 degrees, I'm not sure if he even had the bottom of his thighs parallel to the ground., i wanted to say something to his friends, so they would learn proper form, but I figured when they saw me squat to the floor they would get it.

Fuzzy. You're young. I'm young.
You will not see the balanced body you want for many years. Building an above average body takes alot of time simply because it goes against our body types.
Just be patient and concentrate on yearly improvements. It'll come with time.

Question 1: How is Fuzzy's arms 15 feet?
Question 2: How is Fuzzy's arms only 15 inches (assuming he ain't King Kong)?
He looks a lot bigger than me in his pics and my arms are 15.5 inches to 16 inches (cold to warm to pumped). hmmm...
His legs are a lot bigger though.

When I see a person with huge legs and a small upper body I think that they put in lots of hard work. It was easy to make my arms grow, but it's taken forever to get my legs to grow just a little bit.

I think it depends on what you lifts you focus on the most, with some of it also genetic.

I definitely have the same problem, but I don't let it bother me anymore. My arms are pathetically puny compared to the rest of me, especially my 27" legs, but I don't really care what other people if my arms stayed at 15" forever, oh well.
You'll keep growing and become more proportional as you get older. You're way ahead of the curve right now anyways.

Yea. My lower body has always overpowered my upper body since I was young. Even when I didn't lift my legs were considerably bigger, leaner and stronger then my upper body. I'm trying to play catch up and kinda balance it out. Its working to an extent but my lower body still grows like crazy. My calves are bigger then my arms, much leaner and more developed. Its annoying at times.

My ass has always been big. When I was a fatty, the hot girl in the office told me that I could launch aircraft off my ass. :(
Now that I'm a weight lifter, my ass is even bigger.
My ass has it's own area code. When it farts, it's a long distance call. :fart:
Speaking of which, Maximus makes for some ****ING TERRIBLE farts. :fart:

Thanks for the responses folks.
I may look bigger because of the fat Im carrying.
Neve mind, big arms dont worry me anymore, I just want to have the bieggest legs possible. Plus my my back traps delts and chest make up for it, especially my traps/
i actually like the look more, look at Tom Platz, HYOOGE legs

Man I'm a light bulb from hell my legs are damn near pathetic. My legs are about 1.5 years behind the rest of my body.
My genetics make the situation worse because everyone in my family has chicken legs.Oh well I've been hitting my legs hard and their starting to come along slowly. I just try to keep the them hidden until their up to par with the rest of me or at least close.
What pisses me off the most though is my ass is humongous I mean everyone I know talks about my ass. I went to the beach and everyone was saying something along the lines of floating away on my ass.

My legs are so long, I don't know if I will ever look balanced. They are the owners of the only stretch marks I have, they have grown a LOT over the past few years, but because of my height, and the fact that my torso is shorter than it should be, they still look chickenesque to me, although I know they are bigger and firmer than just about every nonlifter I know.

As for a ratio? Who the hell knows!

Im exactly the same way... My legs grow easy and are already, i think, disproportionally large for my skinny upper body. i wish my arms would grow as easily as my legs do. My forearms are the same way...
