I got 405 lbs x 20 last Sunday. That was my first time doing them in a while so my hammies were still stiff today. Anyway, I got a new camera and wanted to test it out. I didn't feel like doing 20 reps again so I went to 5 plates (495 lbs) and did 10 reps. I think I had 1-2 more in me if I had really pushed it.

Very nice!
I know I probably dont know nearly as much as you do about this stuff but this is what I noticed.

Your back was slightly rounding during the lift. As well, you seemed to look down during the lift. I think if you were to look up during the entire lift it would help a lot more.

I look down on purpose. One of the best deadlifters of all time did the same thing. Read about Bob Peoples and then get back with me...

Oh, and check out Konstantin Konstantinov, a man who has pulled over 940 lbs at 275 lbs body weight pulls the same way I do...

Amazing. As I recently shifted my focus to strength training, you have become a big inspiration to me.

Out of curiosity, how long have you been training? And how did you first start out?(like the first sensible training scheme)

Well, thank you.

I have been training for about 20 years. My first routine that really netted me results was based on a Mike Mentzer 4 day split he used to follow pre-contest.

Shoot me a PM when you get a chance and give me your email. I will send you a couple of routines to try if you like.

nice, im gonna try doing my stiff legs like that next time, maybe it will help with my lower back. I have degenerative Disc Disease and arthritis through my spine which makes doing squat/DL kinda difficult, but I have found a way to tough through it, maybe the head down will help.

Can't hurt too try

Chris, I've got something that I noticed when I was watching your video. Please, please, please don't take this the wrong way - I'm kind of new to weight lifting, so don't be offended by my question:

Are you human? JK, nice lift! That is ****ing insane!
