I had a conversation the other day that got me wondering.
her: "How do you know how many to take?"
me: Well, I take one a day.
her: "You weigh 250# and take one a day, I weigh 125# and take one a day... shouldn't you take two?"
me: No, it's based on caloric intake.
her: "You only eat 2000 calories?"
me: hmmm. no.
Her: I'm getting twice the vitamins you are.
obviously, my one-a-day vitamins are meant for average joe. I'm bigger and more active than average joe. Should I be doubling up? <confused>
thanks.

I think you're gonna find conflicting answers on that one.... My advice would be to just take a single multi, as long as your diet is solid.

yeah, i basically use the multi to cover all the bases. the question lead me to wonder if i should double up my other supps, like fish oil, glucosomine & chondriotin, and the like.

I'm not gonna say you should just double up, but generally speaking, you have a bigger body so you'll have higher requirements for most stuff. It'll take you more to get drunk. It'll take you more protein / calories to get bigger. I don't see why that wouldn't hold true for fish oils, glucosamine, etc. About the multis though, I guess my reasoning for sticking to 1 multi is that it's just a little boost to the diet. If I could easily split my multis in 2 and just take half of one a day, I probably would (actually, now I think that maybe the next bottle I get will be an advanced kids formula lol!)
