So, on days that i dont lift and i kind of feel like i havent had enough protein, ill throw together a shake with whey protein. However the other day a friend told me that drinking whey protein isnt good for when your not exercising and it creates " energy" that goes nowhere. Is this true? Or can i still consume whey anytime i want?

oh and this probably should be in the supplements section haha

Yes! I actuallly make really good tasting shakes so i love drinking them whenever i can. Thanks man

Your friend is right. But that doesnt mean he knows what he is talking about, or you took what he said correctly.

Eating anything is "creating energy" what your body does with it depends on your total intake VS output. Whey is just food, if you eat more calories than you burn you can and will put on weight, which is the fookin goal for most people here. Eating on off days should differ very little if at all from eating on days that you workout, your body is still repairing and still needs the materials to build, i.e. protein, from whey or any other source.
