I know that I am not currently getting enough protein. I am a father of 2 young kids with a pretty busy schedule.

I am drinking 2-3 whey protein shakes a day.

What are some quick foods I can get to add protein? Is it better to do that or to drink another shake?

Thanks in advance.

Nuts and seeds. A bag of pistachios or cashews is a great way to go.

Cans of tuna. Nothing wrong with getting your protein from shakes if you don't have enough time for a real meal.

Nuts and seeds are excellent fat sources, but relatively low in protein.

To the op, how about cottage cheese; bake or poach up batches of chicken breast - hubby rips up a poached chicken breast and tosses it into a can of soup for an instant meal.

Also hard boiled eggs.

Chicken on a George Foreman gill takes no longer than 7 minutes to cook and 5 minutes to eat. Two cans of tuna with a slice of cheese, pepper, salt and some garlic. Protein shakes. Hard-boiled eggs are good. You can cook them at night when watching television and then eat them in the morning. If you buy a G.F. grill you can cook steak, chicken, fish, pork in very little time. Really helped me with school and everything going on.
