View Full Version : Confused About GLUCOSE.. ?

I have read and also heard that glucose is excellent for carbing up and glycogen replenishment etc. My question is, even though I feel stupid answering it, where is glucose found? I mean is it basically similar to dextrose and sucrose? Like simple sugars? I know this is a stupid question..
gluocse is the same as dextrose. also called malitrose, corn sryup is glucose as well(though may be mixed with water?).
glucose is a monosachardie
sucrose is a disacharide.
glucose is good for glycogen replenishment any time. but will also cause a big increase of insulin especially if you have not just depleted glycogen levels. which if glycogen store already high(bulking) then there is a good chance the excess will end up as adipose tissue, while a lower insulin response carb, while the digested glucose is released more slowly. You will be using up glycogen while its still entering the blood stream so less will be converted to fat(if excess taken).
