What's going on everybody?

I'm on vacation right now in Madeira Beach, Florida with Lauren (my girlfriend) and her family. I went out today and finally found a gym to workout at until I leave for home on Saturday. It's definitely not my favorite gym, but it'll do for the week. I just got back from hitting up my first workout in two weeks and it felt great.

I'm going to keep this journal going even after vacation ends.

Lauren has been working out with me for a month and a half now and she's kicking ass. She's really into it which is great. We're doing a BGB type routine and will continue to workout together. I'm hoping that she'll post her workouts in here with me, but i'll have to ask her when she gets back from uptown.

I'm currently 5'9, 158lbs. I've been trying for a year to get dedicated how I used to be, but i've been having a lot of trouble. The rest of life likes to get in the way. I've still been lifting but my diet has been horrible. I'm still trying to fix that to get out of this 155lb stage that i've been in for far too long.

This gym really sucks, but it's the closest that I can find. Their DB's only go up to 50lbs.

Overall

Good intense workout. It felt damn good to be back in the gym.


As far as specific goals go, it's all about the weight gain and building muscle. This past year i've lost hope that i'll ever get out of the upper 150 zone. I want to get in the 170 area, for now.

In my opinion, my chest is lagging a little so i'm going to try to bring that up.

The curls and extensions were on the very crappy machines at this gym. I was doing around 200lbs on each, which means the weight on these is off haha.

Then I did some random calf raises.

Overall

Good workout. This gym is just ridiculous with it's stupid machine and no squat or power rack. I'm heading home to Illinois no Saturday anyways.

I started a strict bulking diet today and so far so good. I've been eating great lately. I just downed a dozen eggs.

Tomorrow i'm doing mainly upper body again.
