I am a few months old bodybuilder. I recently bought some whey from GNC which gets me 66 gm protein per dollar. I think its a good deal (even better than tuna). What had been your discovery of cheapest (and good) protein so far?

You shall not dethrone tuna as the best and greatest and cheapest and healthiest and coolest and gun-totinest protein source in all of the land, you will NOT, my friend!

Tuna- on sale ANYWHERE you can buy tuna (I've never ever seen tuna not on sale) for (average) 12 cans for $4.80

If the price is 4.80, then you get 87.5gm protein per dollar.

I've seen it as low as 3.90 per dozen, so that shoots the protein count up to 107.69g protein per dollar.

If your local grocer does not have such deals, ask yourself two questions. The first being "Why do I enjoy being ripped off?", and the second, "I wonder why so many stores deserve to be shut down simply on their tuna price policies."
Where do you buy your tuna? I assume you are in America, so you must have access to a large chain grocery store. Safeway, albertsons, Ralphs, Winco, Costco, Sams Club, A&P, Tops, and Raleys all have very similar deals. If not, you are obviously are a liar should be banished from the land.

For the good of the people.

I'm at like 46 grams per dollar, with the EAS Simpley Whey. The Vanilla flavor isn't bad at all man!

Simply Whey. Works good. Tastes OK.
78 grams per dollar

Simply Whey is OK. Its the cheapest protein besides pro-lab. My simply whey is 67 grams per dollar. The vanilla is the worst. It smells like cotton candy. I like the chocolate flavor the best. But I have had 10lbs of EAS simply protein in a row I need to change! I like to buy a different brand or flavor every time I buy protein.

Ye gods, I am being raped by my local GNC for protein per dollar, at least going by what I'm reading here.

Even with the 'buy one get one 1/2 price' for the clumpy chalky house brand "Elite Mega Mass" I'm only getting ~25g per $1. Allowing for exchange rate to $US, etc, that still converts to a mere 38g/$1.

Hm. Must post info request for other Toronto BBs to edjumicate me on where I oughta be buyin' me whey.
