I was reading about this diet plan and noticed that it came along with a workout plan as well. To do this diet is it necessary to use his workout program? Just curious, thanks.

The designed workout directly coincides with the specific concepts and goals of each "phase" (within each week) of the diet.
The book has alternatives for the workouts/days.

I would follow his workouts to the T until you totally understand what each is trying to achieve.
