is it actually that bad? how much is it ok to have daily (my BF% is very low)

You can always get "Light" mayo, or Miracle Whip (any variety) if you are looking for a lower-fat mayo (lets say, if you're on a cut and would want to spare calories by subbing fats for some carbs). Fats aren't bad though. Well, trans and interesterified fats are bad... and saturated fats aren't really great...

Mayo is not that high in saturated fat. I love it, and refuse to give it up. I think its fine to have it in your diet as long as your account for the cals.

Most commercial mayos are made with crappy oils, and have preservatives, but you can make your own at home with better oils. Just toss an egg yolk or two in a blender, turn it on low, get a cup of your favorite quality oil and drizzle it in slowly until you get mayo. Stop adding oil when you get to the right consistency. Refrigerate. Olive oil will be pretty strong tasting, but I like it. You can add a bit of flax oil or olive oil to canola oil and go with that and it's pretty decent.

i like miracle whip :).

cool recipe though manowar.. too bad i could never eat raw egg :S
