Is there any point to these? I'm getting kind of sick of doing EZ bar curls, and liked the progress I made with concentration curls in the past. What are your experiences and opinions about them?

Agreed. Theyre not too great. I mean I think that theyre OKAY but there are much better choices out there. If youre looking for an exercise that keeps contant tension on your biceps spider curls or cable curls are an option. Or just stick to standing BB curls.

There are a lot more exercises besides just EZ bar curl and concentraion curls. Try straight bar curls, preacher curls, hammer curls, dumbell curls, etc etc.

I like to finish off with a set of dumbbell consentration curls once in a while because I usually do not have a spotter and I can use my free hand to assist in helping get another rep or negatives. Just one last intense set to give them the final pump before I head to the bars to fight. :D

the only thing i would use them for is if I couldn't keep good form...which most can.

If you want to ensure strict form and have an extra hand to help yourself out just do single arm db preacher curls. The preacher bench is also more comfortable on your back than concentration curls (for me anyways).

I think they are a very good exercise. I have used them in the past with good success.

YEAH. All right. Go concentration curls, chris mason (tm) approved. I been doing them lately, they appear to be working somewhat for me. Give me a few more weeks with 'em.. ;)

Most can keep good form on curls? What gym have you been going to?

I like preacher DB for strict form and good negatives, but anything like that I consider to be a concentration curl not just having my elbow in my thigh.

I do 'em every once in awhile just for something different...when I'm stalled or when I'm having attention difficulties with my usual routine :)

I can't say anything except try it yourself. I and a few other honest members have had success with them.

LMAO, Powerman!!....

I agree too! I would say almost 90% of the people I see in almost any gym do every kind of bicep curls WRONG! It makes me angry... I really don't know why...

Maybe it's just me, but has anyone else noticed that concentration curls seem to hit the biceps even more than a perfectly performed curl of any other kind, except maybe preacher curls?

Could just be me, but I think they help alot.

Hammer curls just toast me like nothing else.

Well guys, I did concentration curls last night.

I can honestly say that I'm not the least bit dissapointed. I have never felt that much stress and pain in my biceps, and I think I will definately get alot of size out of these. I recommend you all try them :D
