I'm revisiting my diet after eating by feel for a few months (didn't work out to well).
From what i've heard, it's .5 g fat per pound of lean muscle mass and 1 - 2g protien per pound of total body weight.....then fill up the rest of required cals with carbs.
here's my breakdown:
Lean muscle mass: 173 pounds
Calorie requirements = 3700 on bulk
Fat grams/cals = 86/776
Protiein (1g/lb) = 203/812
Remaining carb calories = 2109
...but this is breaking down into 21% fat / 22% protein / 57% carbs.
Any thoughts on this? The carbs seem a little excessive.
