Yo. I had another journal but I kind of let it and my training slip over the summer. Now that schools been in for a bit and I've been consistently training I'm going to start fresh with a new journal.

I haven't been doing to bad though recently, but I did fail to qualify for American Open for Olympic weightlifting.

Nice Olympic lifts. I've been getting really into the clean and jerk lately, improving on my form. I managed to get 185lbs up for now. ;) I still have really bad form on my snatch.

Do you feel like you have enough rest? I see you do C+J quite often. I'll probably start doing it every couple days if you feel that you have ample rest time. Right now I only do it once a week.

Here's hoping to be as powerful as you one day Vrizzle. :thumbup:

On our board we'll have something like:

Bench -

75%|3 3 3 (space) 85%|3 3 3

meaning whatever percent of our 1rm. My freshman & sophomore year we went for PR 5's, triples, doubles and eventually singles for our core exercises. But these last 2 years we've gone to percentages. (I personally liked always going for PR's all the time but the workout is not my decision so w/e. (actually the main reason I think they changed it is because people would make ridiculous jumps and the such when they knew they couldn't get it (like going for a new max when we were supposed to do a legitimate double))

The only thing I really don't like about the percentages is you can't really gauge your progress until max-out week, which is usually entertaining as you see a bunch of your buddies go up a lot in their lifts.

ok thats kinda what i figured was percentage. I've experimented with those types of workouts too and like all others they have pros and cons. Everybody is different and what may work for one person may not work for another of course you know that already. One of the main reasons we dont really do percentages where i am is because it would take most of them the entire time to just figure out what 75% percent of their max is. Not to take anything away from my guys because they're great but they arent the smartest group in the world. keep up the good work dude.
