ok let me introduce myself
im 14, i weigh 130 lbs, and bench 190. i have been powerlifting for 3 months, and lifting for almost 2 years.

im currently doing the blast your bench program by lee hayward, because it was recommended to me by someone who had already done it...

this was week 1 of the program (im only including the bench part, not the assistance work such as bent over rows and squats..etc)

Day 1- Rest time 3 minutes.
Set 1- 135 x 10
Set 2- 135 x 8
Set 3- 140 x 6
Set 4- 145 x 4
Set 5- 160 x 2

Day 2- Rest time 1 minutes.
Set 1- 120 x 15
Set 2- 115 x 15
Set 3- 105 x 15
Set 4- 95 x 15
Set 5- 85 x 15

Day 3- Rest time 3 minutes.
Set 1- 145 x 3
Set 2- 150 x 3
Set 3- 160 x 3
Set 4- 165 x 2(missed the third one
Set 5- 155 x 3

Day 4- Rest time 1 minutes.
Set 1- 125 x 15
Set 2- 120 x 15
Set 3- 110 x 15
Set 4- 95 x 15
Set 5- 85 x 15

Day 5- Rest time 3 minutes.
Set 1- 145 x 3
Set 2- 145 x 3
Set 3- 155 x 3
Set 4- 155 x 3
Set 5- 160 x 3

im starting day 1 of week 2 today, so i'll post the results when i get back from training

I have seen quite a few of your posts over at elite and saw the pic of your deadlift at the meet. It was an excellent attempt

in my first post, lets say my bench is 185, thats a bit more accurate.. my bench days vary alot, so we will say 185, cause its more consistant

hey, thanks. I already have most of my westside routine planned out so i plan to start that after i complete this little mini cycle. And i made that attempt for 335 just so you know.

any ways here was todays workout..

Day 1- Rest time 3 minutes.
Set 1- 140 x 14(it was too easy at 10 , so i did more :) )
Set 2- 145 x 8 (still too easy, but istopped anyway)
Set 3- 150 x 5
Set 4- 155 x 3
Set 5- 160 x 2

hey latty... looks like you spend a lot of your time here....im looking forward to keepin a journal so i can see my progress. Im hoping to bench 200+ at the end of this mini bench cycle

Week Two Day Two

Set 1- 135 x 15
Set 2- 125 x 13
Set 3- 115 x 12
Set 4- 95 x 11
Set 5- 95 x 15

Did some stiff legged deads, got 225 x 4, which is a PR for me, so im happy about that..

Worked on unracking some heavy weight on the bench to get used to the feel of it.. worked my way up from 135 for 10 seconds, 225 for 10 seconds, 245 for 10 seconds 275 for 10 seconds and finally 300 for 6 seconds.. those were pretty good static holds

lol you think i should go for it? i dont deadlift very often, just started doing SLDL today, and i only deadlift every other week..... and im focusing on my bench now for the next 2 weeks, and then i'll be tearin it up with my squat and deadlift... i might try to go up and train with LATMAN if i get the chance... we'll have a dead-a-thon , and see who, lb for lb, is the better deadlifter

your going down! once i get up to your gym..its alll over. I'll be pulling 400 at 135 (i wish)

Adam. i'll make sure i get it before latty does.. i may just have to pull a few strings, and break a few legs (that could mess latty up a bit)
