I have a question. I am one of those people that thinks that supplements are really useless, and use to laugh when i heard people saying "I just started taking (insert supplement here) and ive gained 15 pounds of muscle in 2 weeks!". It just didnt make sense logically, how do you gain weight, much less muscle, unless your eating much more, which i never really hear added to that statement. But recently, I have hit a wall with my training, for the last 3 months i have acually lost a few pounds, which, if you look at my username, is not my goal at all. So my question is, How are these people gaining weight with supplements(Creatine, cell mass, animal stak, ect)?? I realize that their gains may be waterweight, but I doubt its really all waterweight. And, though people may exaggerate, I do see some real differences in their physique? So before i become a hypocrite, and go out and get animal m stack and creatine, can someone explain this phenomenon?

They're not. I'll ask the same question as the other thread. How's your diet? Are you gaining weight? How long has it been since you've taken a break from lifting? Perhaps you should consider taking time off (a week). What's your current routine like? What areas are you having a plateau in? How long has this plateau lasted? Supplements aren't the answer here. Give as much information as you can.

Supplements ar not useless, if you use them to supplement a diet.
I dont know what phenomenon you are talking about because supplements work.

Well i should say some supplemens work, there is alot of garbage out there.

You should look into plain creatine monohydrate.
If your not taking a multi i would do so, and grab some fish oil while your at it.

What do you want out of a supplement?

drinking 1 dl aloe vera everyday gives u all vitamins and amino acids u need thru the day :) this worked for me, and as it's a plant i don't look at it as a supplement, rather a.. plant ._o

The water thing always drives me nuts! As an FYI, muscle is over 70% water! So, if you gain muscle you are gaining water weight...

Anyway, from what I have read you are the PERFECT candidate for our Maximum Mass Stack. Get a stack and follow the guidelines (key) in the free Max Mass Guide you get with it and get back with me in about 6 weeks and I guarantee you will be SIGNIFICANTLY bigger than you are now.

There are quality supplements that do what they claim, then there are a bunch of crappy ones.

Anything Atlarge sells is quality and works. I would just order up a few things from them and see how they help. Nitrean and creatine 500 would be my first two choices followed by some ETS if you can afford it. If gaining weight is your goal then some maximus would be perfect.

This is horrible advice. The OP should do some research, decied what he would like to gain from a supplement and then compair based on price and reliablity.

your telling him to aimlesly chose products based on what, their names? what a huge waste of money that would be.

No, I was suggesting looking at what they offer and order what you think you need. Everything they sell is quality for a good price so it is hard to go wrong. He can read their descriptions and figure if that is what he wants out of a product. I wasn't suggesting blinding ordering stuff. I guess I should I been more specific.

i am 18 and i have never taken any kinds of creatine and have always been against it as well but like you i am considering jumping on the bandwagon. half of me feels that people should be able to do it bythemselves but then the other half says its no different than just eating. what are the specific supplements you are considering taking

Jumping on the bandwagon by taking creatine:confused: ? If you dont train or have never trained with creatine that is stupid for lack of a better word. There is nothing wrong with creatine and it may benifit you in other ways.

I realize that you've been subject to midiots (mainstream media idiots) your whole life (as have I), but you're not cheating by taking creatine, or any legal supplement. Creatine is not going to give you that much of an edge to make it "cheating."

How could so many people be so wrong! IF supplementation didn't work i dont they would exist. I agree that there are some really over hyped products out there, but overall, supplements have a place in every serious athletes diet

Almost all supplements are overhyped, and give minimal benefit for the cost.

The exceptions are multivitamins, effective fat burners, creatine, microlactin, and food replacements (protein, meal replacements, etc).

(To me, even creatine and fat burners don't give enough benefit for the cost, but there is a benefit, at least).

I use only protein (which I won't anymore, food is as cheap and much more satisfying) to well get more protein. I take a multi and fish oils.

Thats it, don't need nothing else.
