hey

was just wandering why people (me included!) put oats in their shakes?

They are a great source of complex carbs. They have lots of fiber, a bit of protien, and they are extra calories too 1 cup = 300 calories. Also they are just all around healthy and s***.

Fiber supplement, grape nuts, fiber cereal, high fiber veggies/fruits, etc.
