View Full Version : Is 1% milk ok in moderation for cutting?
Is it ok to drink 1% milk in moderation (250Ml once a day) while doing a cutting diet ? I want a good natural source of calcium and vitamin D plus milk is yummy ;)
Thanks

Yes it's fine. If your competing then it's suggested that you lose any dairy products 4 weeks out, but it's fine just to get in good shape.
ill be competing for the chicks at the beach :D

Skim is a better choice even when bulking.
If you need more fat, it's better to get it from other sources.

Nothing.
I'm curious why they say to drop it 4 weeks out...
some people say it retain water.

what is wrong with the fat from milk?
I was thinking about this the other day since sometimes when I cant readily access a post workout feed, I grab a 500ml of milk for the way home. Is this no good?>

There is nothing wrong with it unless your going to be competing in the very near future.

It has a moderate amount of protein in it, so it may be good to hold you over until you can get home and get a protein shake, but it is a sorry replacement.

dairy has carbohydrates in it, so i'm guessing the reason to cut it out 4 weeks ahead is because your restricting all your carbs...
