Now I know I have alot of work to do.. Ive been working out and doing alittle cardio on my manual tredmil. Diet hasnt been the easiest, as Im not sure what to buy at walmart ( I buy all my food there).

Breakfast has been 1 cup of cheerios and a muscletech hardcore shake.

Lunch usually a turket sub from subway and a shake

Dinner usually is a couple of tilapia fish and either yellow rice or mashed potatoes. Sweet Tea.

Then another shake before bed.

My goal is to get down to around 180 and add some bulk.

You've got a long way to go. Why do you buy all your food at walmart?

Sounds like you probably have to clean your diet up a whole lot.

Walmart is the closest store and is cheaper most of the time..But I will go to other stores if needed..

Bro. First things first join fitday.com. Start eating better foods. I mean eggs and oatmeal for breakfast, some complex carbs with meat before and after working out and maybe a whey protein shake or after that (before sleeping). YOu just gotta reduce the food with empty calories (chocolates, high sugar foods, white breads, pastries) food with tons of carbs and sugar and no benefit whatsoever to the body nutritionally.

I am a member of fitday, I just dont remember to use it..
Oatmeal seems big around here, guess Id better start to like it.

trust me, i still dont like the stuff but what can i say ? the **** is freakin healthy and full of nutritional goodness. If yo ucan be bothered to cook it then just blend it till its powdered and add to a whey protein shake or something. and trust me if you want to lose weight you HAVE TO remember to use fitday. I feel liek a hypocryte saying this since i havnt used it in over a week but in the first two months of lifting it was vital for me.

I will start using it, as soon as I can get a good diet going(hasnt been easy, not knowing what to get at the store.).. I have a program called fitness assistant also. But isnt easy to use. I also have 1 called evenfit which isnt the easiest to use.. Fitday seems easy, so Ill probably stick to that.

Very true.. I guess I should have said that we get ours from either Publix or the Produce market down the road..

refer to that thread mate. Thats the type of food you wanna be having. Not the cheapest, but what matters more money or health? i choose the latter!

I shop at Wal-mart and get everything there but my whey protein (which I buy at Meijer).

Start with these groceries:

Eggs (chuck the yokes and eat the whites or buy egg beaters)
Tuna
Steak
Chicken breasts
Yams
Oatmeal
Skim milk
Turkey Sausage
Turkey breast
Lettuce
Onions
Yogurt (fat free)
Cottage Cheese (fat free)
Tomatoes
Avacados
Walnuts
Almonds

Ahhh yes... I have a Daughter who is 12. But she doesnt look 12 if you know what I mean. But she is tough. When she feel the need to wrestle, she chooses me and I do not go lite on her.
Her and I went on a little jog lastnight. She is the toughest out of my 3 kids.

Oh and she isnt allowed to have a boy-friend YET!! She doesnt seem to be bothered by that too much either.

18 and married? Wow, that must be an interesting story.

To the OP:

You seem very dedicated. Not many people come on to these boards and follow up on their own threads. You seem like your going to do the right than and I admire you for that. You do have a long way to go but youll be surprised what heavy lifting and a good diet can do in 6 months.
