View Full Version : Phenethylamines! Who here is a chemist or knows a good deal in the area?

Nobody's gotten anywhere with this whole new beta methoxy phenethylamine that's in several new products.
I figured a new thread with a proper title may pull someone out who knows a thing or two.
Anyone I talked to who was generally knowledgable on the chemistry of pea's has said that it's unlikely to be exerting much, if any at all, physiological actions.
So yeah, I know we MUST have some hardcore chemistry folks here, can anyone comment on this specific pea a bit more? I can probably get the molecular drawing if necessary.

Im in second year honours chemistry, if you give me the reactions that its suppose to go through with some diagrams I could probably figure something out.

what like synthesis instructions? Or biological pathways? Either way I don't think I can get them as synthesis would be impossible for me (and annoying for anyone I know who may be able to explain), and biological pathways are pretty much the dispute (primarily permeance of bbb and specific neurotransmitter activity once across - which multiple people have cast doubts on there being much, if any, of).

lol no, but enjoy your hookups if they're still active and be careful for chrissake's!
And don't stack your username on top of that either :)
(but yeah, to the best of my knowledge w/o glancing at any sources or anything, EVERYTHING in the 2c- family is a pea/phenethylamine. We're looking for a very specific one, although given your username and that post maybe you could copy/past my question to some other boards or something where someone could help lol!)

Just trying to wake the old dog up aren't you? LOL! I am assuming that I am not allowed to engage in this conversation... That is, unless, you would like to be even more confused than you already are.
I will leave you with this:
Try some beta methoxy phenethylamine for yourself and see...

please confuse me! I can make sense of it later, I want to find out more!!! The desire to go find it to try it just hasn't been there lol, but I'm still quasi-interested. If I had been given higher hopes by some of the people I asked about its activity I'd *definitely* be going for it, but given how dismal it's chances of pharmacological activity are (or what's been told to me anyways), i just don't have much desire to make a special trip anywhere for it.

wait, so your looking for a 2c family product or a strong fat burner like DREN?

I'm not looking for anything.
Beta methoxy phenethylamine has been popping up in several new products.
I'm quite curious as to whether it is a legit product, in terms of 'feel good' effects as is claimed on some of the products that contain it.
If so, I'm also wondering how it'd be legal.
The 2c- family, regardless of how fun they may be (or so I've heard, they're not the most common products), are completely irrelevant to this topic except for the fact that they're a phenethylamine (2c's are just as relevant as about a million other pea's in this scenario).
