View Full Version : Fats/Carbs -- Where'd the rest go?

Afternoon Gents. Noob needing some advice here, so I though my first post on here should be one that, hopefully, will be beneficial to everyone. What I'd like to know is this: On Ingredient Labels, when you see something like Total Fat: 10grams, but the Saturated Fat only adds up to say...2grams...where do they get the remainder from? Can we just assume it is from Poly/Mono? That'd be nice, but I'm weary of thinking that. Apply to the same conundrum to Carb Totals...I'd like to know where the Other Carbs are when you have 43g carbs, with only 15g sugars...Anyone?

As far as I know the rest of the fats are unsaturated fats, and the "other carbs" are complex carbs.

Well dang...I sure hope so. Thanks man. Can anyone point us to an article or study that confirms that? I tried looking all over the USDA and FDA websites...just too ambiguous about something so trivial.
