True/False?... please elaborate

While on a cut, consuming less protein in efforts to minimize caloric intake is WORSE than consuming more protein and accepting the higher calories more protein brings?

*assuming the total calories is in your "cut range" and below maintenance.

also how does this statement change if you have cardio...or any activity... as opposed to barely any activity???

keep in mind i'm not saying any of this to be true... i want to be corrected if this is wrong.

Consuming less protein would only be worse if you dropped below the level you needed to sustain your lean body mass, which, as a rule of thumb, is ~1-2g of protein per lb. of bodyweight. Increasing cardio or other activity would likely increase the amount of protein needed, but depends on the level of other macronutrients you're consuming.

On a cut, cutting cals by limiting protein is the last thing you want to do. Because on a cut you want to minimize muscle loss and protein is key to helping to combat this catabolism.
