I was just contemplating my daily calorie intake, which is around 2500 Calories. Thats probably 500 under maintenance which is fine because im cutting. But I was just thinking that it would be hard to eat around 3000+ Calories a day clean. Thats alot of protein and alot of carbs. Unless my counting is way off I would find it incredibly hard to consume that much in a single day.

You seem to be forgetting to count calories from fat.

Well, do what CBates said and add the calories from fat and 3000 shouldn't be that hard to hit. ;)

Why would you want to limit the fats in your diet?

i've found that my diet needs to be focused in one way, either low fat, moderate carb, high protein OR moderate fat, low carb, high protein. Any other way and I just start to pack on fat like crazy.

Well, just make sure not to get the fat too low, I wouldn't recommend going lower than 50 grams of fat per day when.

I take in roughly 50-75G per day. I try to make sure I take in the decent fats like eggs and peanut butter.

I am 5'6, 163 lbs, and I find it challenging to hit 2800 cals on my bulking diet. What helps me is 2 meals a day are liquid, or I probably couldn't do it.

I used to find it hard to get my calories in but with milk and pb it is getting eaiser and easier. In fact yesterday I ate 4700 cals and woke up at 5 am raging with hunger so I had to eat again then go back to sleep. IM going to die when cutting soon, since I am so used to eating so much.

I base my diet around Tuna, which is sad, because a can only has about 150 calories. Then you throw in whole grain bread, milk, pb, flax, cottage cheese, oatmeal, and you have a fantastically bland 2900-3100 calories.

EasyG:

I'm leaning-out on 3,100 cals. currently (eating for size was around 3,900) with a break-down of 35p/20f/45c via 6 meals. (1 every 3 hours or so)

As my time in this phase plays-out I will continue to decrease carbs down to about 200g daily which is less that 50% of what I consumed when eating for size.

It's a bit of effort to play with the different foods & portions, but it can be done. I make my menu for the next week each Sunday night and eat basically the same foods for the next week.

Working well thus far, down about 5 lbs. in 3 weeks with little noticable loss of muscle & no strength loss.

I find it a challenge to eat enough as well, although this week I have been WAILING away on the food.. Dont skip fat man, its a very important part of the diet..
