View Full Version : Goodbye pencil legs.

Target is primarily to get my little pencil legs to catch up with my upper body. Looking like I have polio isn't especially fun. I'm also aiming to hit the 200 pound mark, cut the abs, and get the back and chest a little bigger too. Due to MMA it's been good having a lot of upper body strength and also strangely strong legs give the size, but I feel it's time to move up a weight class too.

No legs in there?!
Squats, deadlifts, Straight leg deadlifts, hack squats, box squats, etc... Doesn't matter what you do but start doing them!

Best of luck to you. Check out Built's Baby Got Back routine.. That should give you some great ideas for building big legs ;)

Good luck, and I totally want to see these pencil legs! I can't believe you actually weight 150 at 5'11 from those upper body shots X_x

LOL your legs are tiny.
Anyways, squat heavy, nice and deep and you'll see some amazing gains, granted your eating enough. Good luck with your goals man.

I noticed my legs grew when I changed my program.
My leg training only consists of the compounds
And im pretty dead after those these movements.

My suggestion is to do 2 lowerbody exercises to every 1 upperbody exercises you're doing for a while. You need to bring your lower body up to par with your upper.

Cheers mate, I was thinking of readjusting my routine so that I do one leg workout at the beginning of the week and one at the end of the week.

So it's been a while since I posted. I've gained another 10 pounds, seems the legs have got a little bigger too. Arms have gone from 15.5 to just over 16 inches as well. Hopefully I'll hit 16.5 by the summer.

To be honest I've been logging them on a different computer. I've been at uni for the past few months and don't have the internet in the flat I live in.

Was randomly going through a list of old sites I visited and thought I'd give an update over three years later!
Got up to 210 pounds, but cut back down to 205 due to MMA.
Bench Press - 162.5kg
Squat - 190kg
Deadlift - Not the greatest due to a back injury so haven't maxed in a while.
Overhead Press - 125kg
Legs became significantly larger, but ironically don't have any current leg shots on this laptop. Only upper body shots.
