This is from training on 12/28/07. I was wearing a stock Double Rage X size 60. I am still benching with my feet up while I am rehabbing my knee. I should be able to get my legs on the ground by Feb with any luck.

you straightened your legs near lock out, redlights, LOL. Thats absolutly incredible. I see you crushing your previous shirted max when you get back to normal benching.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I laughed when I watched the video. Clearly I was looking for some leg drive to help at lock out. I don't know that pushing my feet straight out helped, but I finished it. I really think I will throw these in as a ME exercise even when I can plant my feet. I think it is teaching me how to grind out lifts.

I'm hoping February. I put my legs down yesterday for DE benching. It was very light and I used no drive and it felt alright. Funny thing is that my low back is jacked up from arching. I have not been able to arch with my legs up so I think there will be lots of growing pains getting back to the platform. I am going to take my time. I am thinking I will look for a competition around May/June.

Great job Vin, SFW! 750 is awesome.

I hear you on the low back/arch thing. I am going through the same thing. My advice that I didn't follow: bring the arch back slowly, and make sure you stretch out the hip flexors enough. I didn't, and jacked the ever loving christ out of my low back.

Hey Vincent,

Nice job on the 750 that looked sick. I can't wait to see what's instore this Friday.

Got back from Cali on Saturday. Almost didn't want to come back. But I've got a month with no school, no work, just lifting. Good times.

I hear that 84.32% of the lift is the lift-off anyway.

got in the shirt again vinny and put up 435, however, i needed to kind of adjust myself, USPF you cannot belly bench how you guys taught me, well, i just cant bring the bar low, it needs to be above the sternum and pressed straight, it flew up i must say, 425 was thrown over my face then they told me how to adjust and 435 was smoked. im still tucking hard and flexing the lats like you guys told me.
