what kind of running should I do
I'm not sure what to besides windprints

I just need to get faster ASAP

There's a difference in just "getting faster" and getting in shape. Windsprints will get you in shape. For speed, it's a combination of leg strength, power, especially form, and other things. Speed doesn't come ASAP, it comes over time. Conditioning shows results much faster, but will come with slightly decreased speed over time.

here is a decent speed program for increasing 40 yard dash. i used it and dropped 2 tenths off mine. went from 4.9 to 4.7 http://www.athletes.com/fun/kelly10.htm
