some say its good post workout for insulin spike. some say its half glucose half fruitctose. some say its 95 percent fruictose. what is the real deal on this i hear so many different things on it. will it raise insulin that much if its mainly fruictose, im not even shure its mainly fruictose i hear contradicting things on the net

how could it possibly be any good if its mainly fruictose?????that means it would only fill liver glycogen not muscle glycogen??? see my point we are confused on this

Insulin spike and glycogen replenishment are two seperate but related issues.

I wouldn't use ONLY honey as a post workout carb but you can use it to help facilitate an insulin surge.

There are better sources than honey.

It is approx 50/50 btw, as far as glucose/fructose content is concerned.

I just got done reading Body Rx and it suggests staying away from honey (actually, it suggests staying away from all sucrose and fructose based foods).

Ask 10 people and get 10 different answers. Dr. Connelly seems to know his stuff, so i'm going to follow his recommendation and leave honey out of my diet.

Real honey is not 50/50 guys--it is about 95% fructose for a 100% natural honey.
