Well I was heading out to do some board presses for the first time when I realized I didnt have any boards. I looked around my room and found a small thick dictionary. It was about 2 inches thick. I wrapped it plastic wrap and used that. I put it under my shirt and it worked flawlessly.

Might I add that its a great exercise!

I would have probably just done rack lockouts instead, but hey, whatever works.

sounds more like a manpon press, but whatever works. boards are very easy to make by the way. the other day i saw a bunch of really long boards on the side of the road, so i took them...they were in the cab of my truck sticking out the back window, probably about 10 feet long. :moon:

I've half-joked about doing that with my textbooks before lol

Personally I find rack lockouts much different from board presses.

I had someone hold a foam roll on my chest once...

I tied it in place with a knee wrap a few sets earlier..lol

I love board presses but don't care nearly as much for rack lockouts... unless I treat them like board presses and unrack the weight and bring it down to the pins and then press it up (as opposed to starting from the pins as some people do).
I put little hooks in the sides of my boards to I can loop a band around myself to hold them on. Works like a charm.

I just hammered a bunch of boards together. Made a 2 through 5. I then get someone to hold it on me when I bench. You guys are so creative!
