I like to workout in the morning about an hour to and hour and a half after I eat. When I have meal 1 in the morning, I try to have a John Berardi Super Shake instead of actual food, because my stomach is very sensitive in the morning.

My question is, when I make my morning shake, would there be any issues to mixing 1 spoon full of instant coffee in with the protein and greens? The shake already contains fiber, protein, carbs, and healthy fat. Why not add some caffeine to it as well?

ive put worse things in a shake. it'd probably be easier if you just want the caffeine to buy some no doz pills. they've always treated me right, and there cheap.

Hmmmm, actually a really good idea that I've never heard. Shoot, I'd put instant coffee in a shake for the taste, not even mentioning the caffeine.

Today was a fantastic workout, intense as hell, and my qauds have'nt felt this bad for quite sometime. I never really tried caff before a workoout, and when I mixed it with the shake, it gave it great flavor and my focus was very tight.

BTW I used 1 well rounded tsp of Raphs brand instant with 2 scoops of ON Chocolate mint protein.

I've done it. Good stuff.

You can also add extracts...mint, almond, vanilla. Chocolate mint is one of my favorites.

I've used Postum in shakes, since it was a before bed shake, and I didn't want the caffeine. It was yummy.

but ur whole food shake doesnt sound to good, although i have no doubt its good for u. if u can tolerate it, it wont hurt.

Milk, vanilla powder, some chocolate syrup, ice, and coffee makes for an awesome cocktail.
