Are you sure your form is correct? It could help you get that extra 30lbs and get rid of the aches and pains.

Just a few to cinsider that may have been overlooked

Are you drinking enough water?

Are you resting enough?

Are you stretching?

When is the last break you had?

Are you meeting your nutritional needs?

I am switching my dead to just twice a week now and it has made my gains enormous. I used to do it weekly with maybe 5-10 pounds (if lucky) a month. Now, at twice a month, I am hitting 10 easily.

I take 3-4 minute rests between sets.

Chalk?

i weighed in at 100 at the meet.

well you need to fix these for a start, meet or not. you answered your own questions. and if you want us to troubleshoot your problem we need to narrow down the problems. fix these and get back to us.

Foam rolling. Did wonders for the muscles and tendons that were getting soar in my legs. Hurts at first but its worth it.

You need to rest. At your age, you shouldn't have any aches and pains. Your coaches are stupid! Rest, or you'll get injured. You're gaining weight because you're retaining water in your joints from overwork. REST! You're gonna get hurt.

: /Look, I'm just trying to give you some decent advice - what you do with it is up to you... As far as your coaches go, unless they are complete morons, if you speak with them in a mature manner and tell them that you think you are overtrained, too sore, etc. and that you really want to succeed and are not trying to "get out of workouts" (because you are lazy), they should be understanding.

defiantly stretch before hand and even daily, should help your groin muscle situation.
and to me it sounds like the coaches are overtraining you.
you shouldnt be working a muscle group more then twice a week, they need to rest so they recover and grow.

as for the three pounds you need to loose, try water manipulation, drink gallons a day a week before, then 24 hours before weigh-in cut your water, then right after weigh in start to rehydrate with water, then Gatorade, then carb up with carby foods.

i agree with the others, you are overtraining, regardless of what your coach says. its only your second meet, dont worry about your weight...didn't you just lift in a meet like 2 weeks ago?

Guido

You should be doing nothing but resting for the 7-10 days before your meet - especially if you are, in fact, overtrained.

rest and dont be lazy. Drop to 97 pounds.
