Powerlifting competitions

I live in cambria county PA (about an hour east of pittsburgh PA) and I was wondering how to find some powerlifting meets in my area. I plan on competiting next year? I'd also be willing to travel up to 2-3 hours away to do the meet.

Not sure even which federation to lift in or any of that jazz... I'd probably like to do my first one raw since I won't be able to have enough time to get and train in gear by then especially since I'm on an epic cut right now.

Find a federation that has a lot of meets in your area using powerliftingwatch, and then use that federations website to stay updated. Powerliftingwatch can sometimes be a few weeks or even a month behind if meet promoters don't send in the information to PLwatch. That you have adequate time to prepare and make arrangements if necessary.

The IPA definitely runs meets there. One of my training partners has a house in PA and lives there half the week. He has done a few meets down there.
