What types of weight lifting can I do to increase my sprinting ability and overall ability in soccer, for any who know the sport?

For sprinting, I'm thinking just doing legs in general can help, but is there anything else?

For soccer, I know it's important to have a strong core, so I've been working my abs a bit.

I would do squats for soccer, really helps legs and the core. Front squats target the quads and hamstrings more than back, but depends on what you want to do.

I would stick to what you're doing and maybe add in some cleans. Also, dynamic squats if you're not doing them.

Add plyometrics.

OLY movements would be good too.

Whats your body fat like? When I first started lifting I was about 25% fat, did some squats and went down to about 13% and i felt great ... my pace was excellent and although i'd lost about 25 lbs I was still strong on the ball as i'd been lifting.

Low fat + Squats = whippet :)
