Here's nhlfan's first time squatting in wraps. He hit 330lbs for a 45lb personal best!

Here's my 400lb for 3 in wraps. I transcoded this video to make it smaller (it was 130mb originally!) and somewhere along the line I lost the sound! This was my 3rd (last) set:

yeah, it was my first time so it looks a little exaggerated because i was not used to the wraps.

How much harder do wraps make it to squat? Man, and I always thought they were so you don't screw up your knees.... or maybe the ones I've seen have just been wrapped differently for that reason... safety.

Great squats...

Are those Olympic shoes deeder? If so, how much do you think they help you with your squat form and how much weight you can do?

Hell yeah! I think he would have been good for 350! He surprised me with 315. It just flew up like nothing!

If you're new to it wraps make it quite hard to squat. You have to really concentrate on sitting back and you really have to stay tight. Even more so when you get a suit on. I'm sure there are people that wrap their knees with a tensor bandage or something similar to keep the knees warm and somewhat tight but these knee wraps are designed for 'maximum poundage'.

You did great for your first time! We have to work on depth but that will come. Throw some more weight on your back and you will hit it no problem!

Wow, those looked damn strong Deeder.

Thanks! My best is 415lbs for 3 so this should look easy! The program I am on has pretty high volume/frequency so none of the numbers are overly heavy.

Yes they are olympic squat shoes. Before I bought them I wasn't a believer that they could make a huge difference. I find I am able to stay much more upright and that I am able to hit depth easier! IMHO, they are the best investment you could ever make in your lifting!

awesome squatting both of you

Thanks!!!

Hell yeah man! Everyone at my gym uses them and tons of lifters in the CPU wear them. Chucks are a wide stance shoe and there aren't many IPF squatters that go nearly that wide.

Unless I'm completely wrong, they make squatting easier, not harder...

EDIT: Never mind, I guess not.

They make it easier to lift more weight.. But I find it takes a lot more effort... If that makes any sense...
