Hey everyone. I just started seriously lifting 4 usually 5x a week and have cleaned up my diet substantially. I have been going at it pretty consitant for the last 2 months and am down 22 lbs. I'm 17 6"4 and currently 258 down from 280. I am figuring I need to get down somehwere around 220 give or take to be happy for summer before hopefully bulking during the winter. I have never been not fat so i'm jsut worried about losing fat and trying to add some lbm. Here are the pics also does anyone have a bf% estimate I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I'm not any good at guestimating body fat, but you look good and you've made a lot of progress. You're going to feel great when you hit your goal.

I'm not an expert, but I'd say you went from 30% to 25%.

Amen, keep up the great work. Personally, I'd say don't worry so much about the scale/bodyfat percentage. Go entirely by how you look/feel. You're making GREAT progress, so stick with it.

Also, frankly, I would not be bulking any time this calendar year if I were you. You said that you wanted to cut through summer and then bulk next winter, but bulking is probably the wrong choice for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that you will likely put on more fat while doing so than someone who is naturally 10% bf. I would not worry about the whole bulk/cut thing and instead focus on making healthy choices and getting yourself healthy. Once you have that down you can attack the minutiae... either way, kudos on the progress nad keep at it!

Aside from the apparent progress you have made, that attitude is probably the most impressive.

Good luck with your goals.

Again thanks all for your kind words. I am at 253 now but won't add an update untill probally 245. Do you guys think that 220 is a good goal weight. I'm well aware numbers don't matter and I won't quit if i'm not ready for summer but it would be nice. I'm also not trying to be shredded at 10% for summer. At my stage I would just want to be comfortable taking my shirt off idk maybe 15-18% bf not sure. I'm not hoping everyone says wow your jacked I'm just hoping for a look that people would actually think I lift if that makes sense:fart: Is this a realistic weight give or take and am I being realistic with goals.

I am aslo 6'4'' and was once over 270. When college football was over I lost alot of weight by increasing my cardio. I dropped down to 211 at my lowest. With a big frame, at 211 I had a 4 pack and the ladies were big fans. 220 is a very realistic goal. Good Luck getting there... I myself want to get back down to 235. :)

if you keep your mind to it, and eat right, you will drop down to your goal weight fast. but you will be puttin on muscle so i would say you might be a little above it, but thats what you'll want.

try to keep diet in check, maybe add in some extra cardio to shed off a few calories extra a day.

Yeah thanks all I'll add updates when I hit 245 i'm sitting right around 252 at the moment. Also to whoever said it my goal weight is just an estimated target if i'm a little heavier with more muscle or lil lighter i'll still be estatic.

1. Does this look any better?
2. I'm waiting on calipers but I tested 23.5 with something else could I be 23.5%-25%

3. Is 220 an accurate goal. I'm not striving for 10% by summer but 15% would be perfect.

Dude you could lose another 30lbs EASY in 2-3 months. When I got skinny I started at 5'6" 196 ALL fat. I was weak. Then I got down to like 145lbs at 5'7" in a matter of about 10 weeks. I simply ran 3-4 miles every day and ate like a rabbit.
