From tonight.

First time deadlifting in a while.

Both videos are a single 315 rep. I recorded a second because I wanted to see a side view of my back.

All critiques welcome. I was suprised at how high my ass starts for the lift. I thought I was lower. Should I work on getting lower and getting more leg drive?

Hey good lift bro. Looked pretty smooth and you were able to control the weight realy well. Keep up the good work!

Lokos great, man. Only thing I'd say, but it's hard to tell because of the angle, is your grip looks a tad wide. Maybe close your stance a few inches and close your grip a few inches. You don't want the grip much wider than your shoulders.

Thanks dudes.

I'll take that advice and work on it next deadlift workout, Kiaran. I want to get my deadlift back up to 4pps, which I used to be able to do about a year ago ha.

I can't get the 2nd video to play, but on the first you didn't seem like it took much out of you. Good job.

Thanks guys. I'm not sure what happened with the second video. It doesn't work for me either. It was just the same lift, from the side, anyways.

Yeah, not that it was easy, but it didn't take much out of me. I need to get my deadlift back up closer to where it used to be. I'll probably try to go up a solid 20lbs every week, until it slows down.

Good form, grip looks a little wide and are those last plates 45's? They look like 35's to me making it 295 and not 315?

Good lift either way, try closing up the grip.

Definately 45's. 35's are a lot smaller than those.

The sizes of 45 plates vary greatly depending on what company they are from.

Good call Pitbull. They are all 45lb plates. I was going to mention that in my original post. The last plates are from my old school weight set, and are obviously smaller in size compared to my newer ones. I'll only use those for deadlifting over 315.

Thanks guys. WBBIRL, i'm going to narrow down the grip next time. I think the narrowing things up will help my lift though so i'll definitely work on it.

I was gonna say the same thing. You have the fat guy conventional stance going on there, but you are skinny like me. :) Bring your stance in a little and your grip tight to your sides. Everything else looked solid. Put some more weight on there.

Haha. I'm not sure why I had my stance and grip so wide. I had been sumo deadlifting for a while and I hadn't conventional style'd in a long time.

Next deadlift day is next Tuesday. I'll be posting another video of 335+, with an adjusted stance and grip.

Thanks Chris.

Change the stance as Chris suggested and you'll probably add an immediate 20-30 lbs or more to your max.

Thanks guys. I'm definitely changing the stance guido.

I'm eating like a horse. I'm upper 160s now, though a lot of that is water weight. I want to be 175 when I go to the Arnold.

Thanks squat!

I had a deadlift workout on Saturday. I narrowed up my stance and grip big time. I pulled 355 without much of a problem. I'll probably pull 375 next week!
