Last week I had a vanilla ice cream before working out and noticed I had energy toward the end of the workout. I've been thinking of adding some foods that will give me more energy during the workout.
Some of the things I am considering are :
-Red Bull
-Vanilla ice cream/Sundae etc
-Snickers bar
-Banana or plum
Any other ideas for a good pre-workout snack?
Thank you very much.

im going to shamelessly plug 'monster' energy drink as being better than red bull. and the monster lo-carb if you're cutting... it only has 20 calories per can.
plus if i drink like 3 relatively quick my hands get jittery. how cool is that.
and you get more per ounce than redbull for your $$dollar. :hello:

Anything with sugar.
I would recommend a table spoon of honey mixed with sugar and berries. :D

Sugar? That would be good of your workout was going to last 15 minutes.

I agree. I like the NAKED protein drink before a workout. I drink a half of one because I think its almost too much fruit. Half of one of those is a bunch of fruit and 20 grams of protein. I also like bananas before lifts.

Yea I don't get it. I lift for two hours. No way id be able to keep that energy up with a redbull for two hours.
