When should you take maltodextrin and when should you take dextrose?
Also... what are the benifits of both, as opposed to oatmeal and the like?

Is a 50/50 malto/dex ratio good for a post workout shake or should i lean more towards dex?

not at all.

Eat before your work out.

read a long psot started by either powerman or chicken daddy on why its best to eat about 1 hour pre-workout. then a low/med Gi carb afterwards.

I think they psoted it about 2-3 months ago. its a good read. worth bumping if you find it!

I disagree body. When I take my 75 grams of dextrose I crash within 30 minutes. Working out probably wouldn't mix.

Meaning I come down from the sugar high. Get real tired and lazy/drowsy.

you do not take a med Gi meal about a hour before trianing rather than a very high GI meal.

No i did not suggest a high GI meal before trianing.

i said not to take a dextrose at all.

and take a meal before trianing. however I did not specify what kind of meal, which in hindsight I should of. eg med/low GI meal.

But if you red the post I was on about it explains the detail well.
