Just a quick question, i know we sare suppose to stay away from sat fats and sugar but some from my gym always tells me that sugar eats away muscle. Sound like BS?

I never knew that. In my diet I include a bit of sugar on my protien shakes and if anything, I am getting good gains.

It's crap. You're gaining, do what you're doing. When it stops working, change it.

Sugar eats away muscle? Where do people come up with this stuff?

Stop talking to people at the gym.

I think sugar is actually anabolic (or at least the insulin spike that it creates)...

It amazes me that people can actually believe crap like that.

I've heard all kinds of crap at the gym...I think people over-hear a joke, then take it to heart.

Stop talking to people at the gym.

So true. Ironically the gym is one of the worst places to get diet/training advice.

One of the dumbest things I have ever heard.

After a weekend I would totally have 0 muscle mass.

Instead, weekends are where I put any mass on at all (whatever I'm doing now seems to be working on the recomp side of things, at long last. I just had to switch things up so I was eating less than 2k on non-training days, and 3 or more on training days.)

Which is basically how any of the UDs work and is what I should have been doing all along... restrictions and then load days... but I'm really, really slow to catch on. :bang:
