this saturday, ill be training by myself. i usually go shirted and work on singles up to triples on whatever board i can touch. since my training partners are doing a meet, ill have to do raw work. its been a long time i backed off heavy flat benching. would it be smart to do floor presses as my main exercise (4x5)? Should I back off pressing until next week?

guess not! I would just pick any exercise you can do in a rack and don't need a spotter for. Floor presses are fine if you pins go down that low.

yeah just set the pins at a level that you can still touch your chest at but if you need to can just let out your arch and slide out from underneath the bar

or you can just take a weight that you know you can do and take a light single this week

Roll of shame is when you fail with no spotter so you roll it off yourself to the side and slide out. It's easier if you don't use collars.
