View Full Version : ME Bench Today *Video*

Today was heavy doubles. Overall a great workout. Video lifts go 435x2, 455x2 and 475x2. Check out my log if you want to see what else I did. I felt like I had another 10-20lbs in me for doubles, but I wanted to stay away from getting close to my single max since I'm working up to that in a couple weeks.

Great lifts. Yeah the plate falling was funny. Definitely looked like you could have gone a bit heavier like you said too.

Thanks alot guys! I'm trying something a little different this training cycle to help push me past 515 raw. I've been stuck there for awhile and its gettin under my skin. Figured doubles were a good change since I haven't done them in quite awhile. haha last time I did them, I was only able to work up to 410 for a double.

oh and my bw is about 245 today. I'm trying to stay right there since I feel I'm strongest there and to be honest I think I'd get my butt end handed to me if I get too far away from the 242lb class

WOW You Got Crazy Raw Strength! Awesome Work! Im sure you got 500+ in you No Problem. What is your max goal?

Thanks BPM! The last two training cycles I've rocked 500. I go up to 515 and get stuck about halfway up. The last cycle I barely missed it at the top. As for a goal, whatever I can get. I'm probably not going to do a raw meet or anything, I've just been training raw because I can't fit in my shirt anymore so I need to order a new one. Once I get my shirt its time to hit some big numbers

I've been "lifting" since I was about 12 but that was at home with some crap stuff and only a little guidence. When I turned 16 my parents bought me a membership at a commerical gym and some training sessions. Unfortunatly the trainer was a bodybuilder so for the next 4 years I pursued bodybuilding. At 20, I switched to the right side of lifting and after a few meets ended up at Westside under Lou. Now I'm 23 and still training under Lou. Believe it or not, when I was 20 was when I hit my first 315lb raw bench haha.
