Yesterday was my first heavy day back in the gym since being sick. I tried something new with the deadlifts. I used 25's as the biggest plates to extend the ROM and then I put chains over the bar to make it harder. They kicked my ass.
These three sets the bar weight is 379 lbs(we have a pair of 22 lb plates).
379 + 4 Chains x 3
379 + 6 Chains x 3
379 + 8 Chains x 1

Sumos for the win.
Once you do sumo there is no turning back! It's such a comfortable position for the lower back.

awesome lifting Chris! Keep up the good work
Is there any advantage to using a bunch of smaller plates opposed to bigger ones? Is it balance related?

It's a lot harder.
longer range of motion
duh... yeah I didn't even think of that. 45's don't have to lift off the ground as much.... I should get to sleep now :)

Bro your sick...and I love it lol! Very good job....my two cents...keep the bar in a bit closer. Have you ever tried turning your toes out just a bit more? All in all....great technique and super work ethic. Good job.
