Hey
What do you guys think of creative, Ive read its good to take after a workout? but I take a 60 gram simple carb and 40 gram whey protein drink after my workout,
Can I drink it before a workout as a pre workout drink?

Creatine, is the BIGGEST Supplement on the Market! I personaly think it is great and a must have for anyone training Hard and Heavy!
I know for Results it says to take it 1 Hour Prior to Training. Which to me is great and works with my diet and training.

I take 5g in the morning on non-training days and 30 min or so before workout on workout days. I think that's pretty standard.

I usually take it post. But that's just because I mix it with my protein shake. Anytime is fine.

Pre and post. I shoot for 5 grams a day. I do sometimes see guys taking what I assume to be creatine between sets. I'd say that was ridiculous, but *shrugs* maybe they're just more hardcore than I am.

I dont mean to hijack . I bought a creatine carb mix the other day. Took a scoop last night post workout (workouts are inbetween 8:00 pm and 10:00 pm, in bed by 11:30 pm ) and then took my protien shake. I ended up awake about 3:30am hungry as anything. Slept off and on though, got up this morning and pretty much had the Jitters untill I could get some oatmeal and meats in me. I also ended up on the can as well. Nice cleansing. So I wont be doing a full scoop post workout anymore.
Is it ok just to break up the 5 grams total into 4 or 5 shots a day?

i took it b4 and after when i was taking it but i spot since i do sports(wrestling) and creatine for wrestling doesnt work as good cuz your always losing weight but ya the one i had was 3 b4 workout and 3 after

I usually take creatine mono with my shake right after my workout. I notice huge gains in my bi's with it. But over the weekend I lose some of it as I have a small heart condition and don't use it on weekends. DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!! CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!

Because the excess creatine needs to be flushed from your liver (?? I'm fairly certain it's the liver... But I'm no biologist!) If you're dehydrated liver function is impaired. So it's important to stay hydrated!
In fact, this is important whether you're taking creatine or not. You should always be well hydrated!

That doesnt make sence.
1. You need to take creatine every day to provide any benfit.
2. Creatine shouldnt effect your heart.
3. If it does so, you shouldnt be taking creatine at all.
4. You shouldnt be noticing drastic shifts in your muscle density from weekday to weekend.

I second this! I typically take my results from ALN in the am no matter the day..but i'm starting to follow it an hour or so before workouts and in the mornings on off days and feeling it hiit a little better in the gym.

I love orang juice. I know I can't drink orange juice or any other citrus juice w/creatine and I dont.
But my question is this: If I take my creatine at 7 AM would I be okay to drink some citrus juice of some sort by 8 AM or by any other time of the day?

I have a heart condition as well and taking creatine has never effected it in the past. I avoid caffiene products, energy pills, and NO explode because those have been known to cause heart problems with people that have healthy hearts. But I have never heard of heart problems with creatine and have never had problems. And there is a 90% chance my heart problems are way bigger then yours, I have so many scars its not even funny.

It says on my tub of creatine to take 2 grams before and 2 grams after i train. It doesnt mention rest days. Is this amount ok to take and what about rest days? Should i continue to take 40 grams a day even if i go 2 or 3 days together without training?

just 5g once a day, every day and at any time, assuming your taking plain creatine monohydrate.
