That's awesome. Great work, dude.

Don't want to make a big point about this, but isn't a close-grip bench press supposed to be performed with your elbows in?

That is crazy.

I cgbp with my elbows out too, it's easier for me to lockout that way but it puts more pressure on the elbows so I might think about start cgbping with my elbows in.

I figured the idea behind a CGBP is to put more stress on the triceps. And by doing so, the elbows should be tucked in.

thanks guys!

its all relative fellas. I cant get my elbows any closer to me ont he way down and yes they do flare somewhat on the way up. make no mistake about it, my tris get hit plenty hard :D

great press, next time tell your spotter to keep back. Least thats my preferance, I hate it when they put their hands in the way unless I say to take it

Strong mofo! I suck at narrow grip due to a broken elbow and massive scar tissue, so I'm jealous. I second the notion to tell the spotter not to touch the bar unless you ask for it or have it locked out. It just looks bad in videos if you're going for PR's, takes away from the personal accomplishment. I have a video of LittleJake putting up 400+ for reps and he barks at his spotter for trying to touch the bar mid-press, funny ****. Keep it up, 500 is just around the corner!

My CGBP hand position is about 6" - 8" distance apart with elbows in as much as poss, but like he says, grip / elbows will vary depending on your size / shape.

Very strong. Though thats about where my hands are on a normal bench press haha, guess cause I'm much shorter with a shorter wing span.
