I have heard lots of good things about B12 shots and would like to know if anyone in here has gotten shots or know of people that have benefited from them? I have also heard of people taking the pills but say they dont work as well. Any insight on B12 would be appreciated.

My father takes B12 shots. I dont know the details aside from him having a problem with absorbing B12.

Before he took the B12 he seemed to sleep alot more and at weird times. Such as sleeping afterwork untill midnight then be up untill he had to leave in the morning etc.

After the pills he says he has alot more energy.

thats all i can add.

get your levels checked first. if you eat meat (esp red) you likely have several months stored in your liver

B12 is only one of the many essential B's you need in moderation. B12 is essential for superficial energy. Don't bother taking b12 pills, rather, get yourself a B-complex that has all the b's. Otherwise, you'll just be wasting your time. Btw, vitamin B regulates more functions in the body than any other vitamin, regulates your sleep patterns, adrenal gland function (adrenal glands produce more than just adrenals, testosteron and estrogen as well). Don't listen to all the hype you hear in commercials, specifically energy shot ads.
