I am wondering what is the normal intake for sodium daily? I look at alot of the food I want to eat but they are sitting at 1200-1600mg of sodium.

The RDA for sodium is 2400 mg. Unless you have a pre-existing condition, eating salt shouldn't be much of a problem. Also, what are you eating that has 1200-1600 mg of sodium??

Well I go to subway to get one of the chicken sandwiches they have and they are loaded with sodium. I really didnt think about it because I figured they were good because of the low fat nd whatnot.

Low in fat isn't good...
When I get my subs I tell them to load on the sub sauce and mayo.

It would make sense if they had that much sodium... once of those subs are already like 1200 calories.

In the US, the ADA suggests 3,000mg/day.

Of course this is for the normal person, and not for the bodybuilder type mentality or pracicce in which high sodium may be of benefit.

If you have health issues such as high BP, then surely watch it.
