I was wondering if anyone had advice about the use of DE box squats for basketball players. I have read that DE leg work and plyos are not needed for basketball players because in their sport they are constantly jumping and running. My 3 rep max box squat is 225 and I wasn't sure if my strength levels were even high enough to start using the DE method used by Louie Simmons and Joe Defranc0. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You need a mix of Plyos and free weight work

There is no reason why you couldn't perform Dynamic work during the off-season but I would not include it during the season due to the demands of the sport. I would pick one jumping moving (box jump, vertical jump etc) and perform 1-3 jumps for 5-8 sets, then follow that with a single leg exercise, hip extension exercise, and then abs.
