I'm interested in doing my first cycle, but I want to do some research. Can anyone recommend a book or website or something. I'm 27, I've been powerlifting for 2 years, and I've stopped seeing any real gains. I've never used anabolics before, but after seeing some of the results on a couple friends with my own eye's, I've decided I'm going to give it a shot.
I am not asking "where to buy", I think I can manage that part. I am looking for information only. Info on what to stack, and how long of a cycle, what to do and what to take in recovery cycles...stuff like that. Any help for a first timer would be great, thanks.

Check out the stickies here in the anabolic zone. If you like reading, and a lot of it, the recent editions of Anabolics are a great read.

Thanks, I read the sticky, is that a good first cycle? Could some of you guys tell me what you did on your first cycle? Any info would be great, thanks.

The first cycle recommended in the sticky will work well for you. A lot of people on here did other cycles at first as a result of lack of experience etc. I think many of us wish we would have done a simple test cycle to start and / or waited until we were older.

How old are you?

I'm 27, I have a good base to start with. I'm bigger than the average guy. I've lifted pretty hardcore for 2 years, and I've worked out my whole life. I'm just new to anabolics. Thanks, I'll try the first cycle on the sticky, see what happens.

More importantly.
List your diet( Be specific),current lifts and goals.
That way it will be easier to make suggestions.

My diet has a lot of protiens and carbs, I eat my fruits and vegetables. I dont eat the "perfect" diet, but I regulate everything. I never go above the DV% of sugars, and sat. fats. I eat a lot of tuna, chicken, fres veg, and fruit.
I lift all upper body in the morning 45-60 min., lower at night45-60 min. I bench press 255, leg press 490, squat 395, and dead lift 380, to give ya few Ideas. My goals are all a lot higher than that. I'm 6' 235, around 15%bf.

Ok well...
Switch the carbs for healthy fats fats and your in business. Saturated fat IS a healthy fat to an extent.

I know you have been lifting for a while like you said, but if your not making progress its because there is a routine issue. Anabolics isn't the way out. Your lifts are very light to justify needing to go on anabolic IMO. They are also incredibly light considering your weight. There is definately a routine issue here. You can make great progress with a more decent routine and a better diet without roids.

I know it's your decision, and of course I've never used anabolics so my opinion doesn't meen much, but...

based on your weight and lifts, I'd say you should definitely wait a while before using. I've read numerous times on here that you should only turn to steroids when you're close to hitting your natural peak. I'd say you have a long ways to go before you'll need help from aas if you bench 255 and deadlift 380 at 235 pounds.

That wasn't very specific. Do you know your calories and macro splits? Post a sample day.

I agree with Invain. At your size, there are no way you have hit your max potential.

I'm not disagreeing with you or Invains post it is correct...but in all fairness how many people actually reach their max potential before using? Or even come remotely close for that matter.

Hey Guys thanks for all the help. I ran into my friend Isaac at the gym, the locals here call him "He-Man". If you saw him you'd know why....he kinda looks like the cartoon character. Anyway, I asked him for help, He worked out with me a couple times, and says it's all in my routines. He says, I need to switch up my routine. I can see that. He gave me 4 different routines, and he's having me do them three weeks each. He says it'll help me "confuse my body", and when you do that you can't help but see results.
He's helped a lot of people, even a couple guys I know. So I'll trust him. I'm trying his 12 week set up, and I'll see what happens, and post results later.
