I just wrapped up my training today for my IPA Meet next weekend and the the UPA Nationals the following. I took my opener today to a half board and called it good. I will take this week to just do some light training and stretching to keep myself loose.

I'm pretty excited about these 2 meets, I have not competed since July of '07 and have not had a good lift in contest since the Arnold '07. This 12 week training cycle has went very very well. Well other then the fact of me packing back on over 30 pounds!!! Did not care for that to much, I was 318 when we started and I should come into the meet around 350. Soooooooo I am so ready to get in there a hammer up some good numbers.

Hey Wolf, alot of that weight is probably water and intestinal bulk (undigested food). i wouldnt worry too much about that. When i start eating off a diet, i usually gain 10-15 pounds in the first week or 2, so im sure u at least 15-20 of ur new weight is that way. That weight will come right back off as soon as u clean it up and get back in the routine.

Good Luck at the meet, then get back to ur health goals!

BTW, my training is complete, too. I have a WABDL meet next weekend, April 12th in Collinsville, IL. I'll be weighing in as a very light 220 at about 205-207 BW. I'm nervous but excited to move some heavy weight (well, for me) in competition again!
