View Full Version : Leg drive proper deadlift form

Hello my fellow brothers and sisters of iron. I seem to be afflicted by a rather annoying issue and need some clarity n an issue if you can spare me a moment of your time and experience

I deadlift pretty much stiff legged and buck my hips up prior to the lift. Ive been trying for 6 weeks now to try and get my legs involved in the lift and to drop my hips. So far no joy. I can easily get up 420lbs and a measly BW of 185 but i want 5 plates a side

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

i have 2 training partners that are like that. its just their natural feeling on deadlifting. everyone has different shaped bodies and that form seems to be most comfortable.

it'd help a lot if you can post a video of your pulling too

Work technique on every single rep. Do some pulls off a 2-3 inch box, and add in low box squats. Plenty of core work as well. Post up your video so we can see it.
